Worth a Share Friday – Hard Science

What: Stuff I came across worth sharing (mostly on the internet). When: Clearly, Friday.

When: Clearly, Friday.

Today’s Worth a Share Friday is just one video.

“What?”

“Yup. You heard me”.

I don’t have live TV, so I don’t have much to add to the whole The Sound of Music Live Conversation. I’m glad NBC tried to introduce the prime time audience to live theatre. That was brave, so I like it. It also seems to me that most people were not impressed with the acting and are walking around singing, “How do you solve a problem like miscasting Maria…”

I also haven’t quite settled into the idea of Nelson Mandela’s death and what a truly global loss it is.

So I offer you distraction – not the buzzfeed “top ten” kind of distraction – just something I found that I think is cool.

It’s one of my new favorite YouTube channels called Hard Science. They take science “out of the lab and onto the playground”.

I kind of love them.

Be right back, going to buy the town out of cornstarch so I can do belly flops :D

On a different note, maybe this is finally the answer to that physics experiment they make kids do when you have to drop an egg from a height without it breaking. I wonder if you put an egg in a container surrounded by this mixture if it would absorb the impact? I know what I’m doing this weekend! haha
