You miss your family so it's all happy rainbows when you get back. I take girls trips like 6x a year. Sometimes it's one night, sometimes 5 nights. So Needed! I'm jealous. I've only been to Vegas twice and was with the kids both times. My first time, Sagezilla was 9 months old and got the flu in the airport before we took off. She did the nurse and puke all over both of us the whole flight from Chicago then spiked a high fever. Neither of us slept for more than an hour or left the hotel room for two days. When we finally emerged, we spent a day doing laundry, since she'd puked on a week's worth of clothes for both of us! It was swHELL. Hope you had much more fun times. B Please tell me you went! I’m jealous. I’ve only been to Vegas twice and was with the kids both times.

Go, go, go and DON'T LOOK BACK! I am right there with you, my daughter is two years old. You've got to remember a couple things though: How many opportunities do you even get to leave to a nice elegant restaurant for a few hours, let alone enjoy yourself on a vacation? Yes, you'll miss him. You'll be all hugging for him, and he will miss you. He'll know his mommy's gone, but I'm sure it will be okay. As at that age, they constantly cling to mommy, it'll be a great time for daddy and him to connect. They can go do manly things together. LOL. Seriously, it's great to try and get away if you can. One day, I will have to do that with my own, but right now I'm afraid she's always attached to my knee. Your a great parent for giving your child the opportunity to be away from mommy, it's healthy. And it's healthy for you to get away too. Do you have to go alone though? Can I come too?LOL. Never seen Vegas? JK. But really, enjoy yourself.
