I made my site all clean and pretty.
Well, I didn’t- desaline designs did.
She is my hero.
She is the wind beneath my wings.
Yup, she is even my genie in a bottle.
Ever since I came out of the identity closet for this —>>
I’ve been feeling a little BOLD. So, I decided to freshen up my blog, maybe slap my name on it, and publicly declare that THIS IS MINE!
You might even start seeing actual pictures of me up in this piece.
I even bought a new domain name and got all ready to ditch MommyNaniBooboo.com. I felt like the word “mommy” was too limiting to my writing, and excluded people who weren’t parents from reading. But then, I got all un-bold, and stayed with it. I love it. I’m not ready to leave it.
Changing the domain name felt kind of like admitting defeat.
So really the only one limiting myself is me. And how dare I underestimate my readers- thinking they wouldn’t recognize my clear genius simply because the word “mommy” was scrawled across the top.
So I’m keeping it!
And I’m not going to just write about Pee, Poop, and Puke. Though they are the three P’s of parenthood, and anyone who is considering reproducing should be willing to swim in it.
I am also going to continue to write about a million and one other things.
… I can’t really think of anything right now, but…
I’m sure my vagina will be one of them… and Glenn Beck… and the elusiveness of sleep… and how China is slowly trying to kill us…
Okay, I lied- I can totally think of stuff right now.
