I was gonna write you a post.
I was.
I swear.
But…
She’s coming!
I can’t believe it.
She’s coming!
Who’s coming? She’s coming!
She’s an old friend from college. A very good friend. A roommate. A cohort. A hand holder. A tear wiper. A giggle fest participant.
We haven’t see each other in over 14 years. We haven’t really kept in touch- because I kinda suck at that.
She lives in New York, and her family is in town visiting some relatives.
And she’s coming… here… to my house… in a few hours. Surprise!
And I’m vibrating with excitement… and terror.
She knows me as the actress… in the spotlight… taking bows to thunderous applause.
Now, I live in my yoga pants, it’s 10 am- and I haven’t even brushed my teeth yet.
Plus, I have utterly zero confidence in my social skills as of late.
How will this be?
We’re no longer girls.
We’re wives.
We’re mothers.
Her pictures on Facebook tell me that she looks exactly the same.
So, no post for you guys right now.
Excuse me while I go scrub my house, bathe my dogs, clear up my skin, and loose 15 pounds.
