Don’t you hate it when you visit a blog that you’ve loved for a while, start reading a post that you’re sure will be quite enjoyable or thought provoking, and then…

BAM!

You realize you’re reading a commercial disguised as a post?  Maybe it’s a paid review.  Or maybe it’s a sponsored post with a bunch of links.  Either way it’s not what you were expecting.

Now who can blame a blogger for trying to make a little cash?  No one seems to throw money at you for simply writing stories that make them laugh out loud, or question their way of thinking, or poke them to be better people.  A lot of bloggers will clearly label sponsored posts in the title- which I greatly appreciate.  I just like to know what I’m in for.

That being said.  I need to start shaking my money maker as well.

I’ve introduced a new category called Money Maker Weekend.

Monday through Friday, you will get the same brilliant content.  Saturdays and Sundays you will hopefully still get brilliant content, but I will be compensated to give it to you.

Just wanted you to know what to expect.

Sponsored posts will always be clearly marked.

And I still love the shit out of you.

UPDATE 3/20/2011:  I have now changed the category to “Commercial Weekend”.  Apparently, people thought I was giving away money making tips.  If you saw my bank account, you would realize what a severe injustice that would be to my readers.
