Thanks for this post. I also suffered PPD/A and my son is 21 months old... just now starting to feel whole again. The second child question is scary... but I know one thing I would have that I didn't have then is perspective. No, it doesn't last forever and it gets better and better with time!

Oh thank you.
My son will turn two this week, and that dark time seems so far away.
Can't believe we're thinking about another!

Colic can be extremely difficult to handle- but DOES NOT LAST forever. If She's nursing, and you start to suspect a colicky baby after a couple months- have her cut out dairy!! Usually helps alot!
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!

My wife is pregnant right now. She's about seven months and one of her biggest fears is that our son will have strange sleep patterns and have colic. Of course, I tried to explain to her that this would all be normal for infants, to an extent, and that we should prepare for it to happen, and still hope that it doesn't.

I'll have to send her this, to show her that even if colic happns, there is a life afterwards. Just bookmarked this page in case I need it in a few weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks!
