Girl Talk Thursday- beauty secret

This is my first Girl Talk Thursday post so… you know, yay.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just click on the bling.

This week’s topic is “your favorite beauty secret”.  Well, y’all are real lucky on this one, because I know people… who know some stuff… about things.

For me, one of my main concerns is my skin. I want an easy, affordable way to cleanse, tone, help with breakouts, and give me a nice little glow. I know, crazy, right?

SO NOT CRAZY.

So here goes- one of my favorite, best kept, beauty secrets is….

*…..*……*…….>>>>>this is my drum roll<<<<……*………*……*

You can stop rubbing your eyes- I’m totally serious.  Sea salt is a natural cleanser and you get a container like this at the grocery store for under $5.

All you do is fill your sink with a little warm water, pour a bunch of this stuff in it, swoosh it around so the water is nice and murky, splash your face with it for about 20 seconds, and rinse with clear, warm water. Do this morning and night, and you’ll soon notice a change in your skin texture and tone.

Get this- sea salt is also an anti-inflammatory, so if you suffer from little breakouts, it can do you some good.

Please note: if you have severe acne (like I started having a few months after I gave birth), this will not make it go away. It will also not remove heavy eye makeup. It’s just salt, people!

But the giving your skin “a glow” part- totally true.

Why have you never heard of this before, you ask? Well, I can only assume it’s because we live in a consumerist society, and sea salt is natural, and dirt cheap! Now that I’ve broken this topic wide open, I must admit, I’m a little nervous. So, if you guys don’t hear from me in a couple days- it’s safe to guess that Oil of Olay, or Clinique has found me… and silenced me (either by kidnapping me , or offering me a large sum of money).

Now, go to the store, and buy some salt.
