In conclusion: Sometimes people need to be more like dogs.

For some odd reason, I came across both of these videos today.

Neither of them are fairly new.

I’m sure many of you remember this from a few months ago- the footage of the homeless man who died after helping a woman who was being mugged in New York.

And then there is this-

It strikes me today how people should sometimes be more like dogs.

I couldn't agree more. It makes me so sad that people can be so jaded. I love that my dog has unconditional love for me and even when I look or feel like crap, he always thinks I'm perfect. :-)

  2. What an awesome dog! I wonder who took all of those videos of the dog rescue?
So sad about the dead guy though… what in the world?!? It is as though there was no one there. Strange.

You couldn’t have said it any better, people need to be more like dogs. My friends often tease me about the way I cringe and hide my eyes during violent/bloody/disturbing scenes on television and movies, but I stand firm by the fact that I’m not supposed to enjoy watching that kind of stuff. People are supposed to be stricken by the plight of others, rather than entertained or desensitized.

What an excellent comparison- I couldn’t agree more.

  5. Wait…I thought all men were dogs?! Or is that a separate theme. But you’re right, that gives dogs a bad name as they are for the most part selfless animals and a great example to us humans.

Seperate theme! Although, I don’t see how men being dogs got such a negative connotation.
If it were true- they would sit, stay, roll over, and never leave our sides!
