My friends often tease me about the way I cringe and hide my eyes during violent/bloody/disturbing scenes on television and movies, but I stand firm by the fact that I'm not supposed to enjoy watching that kind of stuff. People are supposed to be stricken by the plight of others, rather than entertained or desensitized. You couldn’t have said it any better, people need to be more like dogs.
