Friday Finds – Mystery ‘Misconnection’ writer, hot nerds, and Steve Carell rocks
Holy links, Batman. This week was full of weird and awesome links, as well as so much video goodness. All internet stuff today, folks. Enjoy.
If you haven’t read the poignant Craigslist “Misconnection” personal ad that’s gone viral, you can read it here. The Village Voice also suspects it was written by Los Angeles writer, Raphael Bob-Waksberg.
Would you like to see a secret outdoor camera catch a bunch of bears have a back-scratching party? Go here.
So many of you comment on how wonderful my husband, Hot Nerd can be at times. It makes me feel like some of you may want a Hot Nerd for yourself. Well, apparently on BodyBuilding.com they have their own engineering thread in the forums. Here you will find large men talking about differential equations while posting pictures of their abs and using the word “shizzle”. If you subscribe to common stereotypes, your brain may explode.
This is more of a product find – I haven’t been in a swimsuit all summer, but if somebody gets me this Sharkini, I promise to try.
If you haven’t seen Stephen Colbert’s Colbchella’13 segment, you absolutely must. It is a star-studded dance fest. Watch it here. No one does a paddle turn like Stephen Colbert.
I can’t believe I haven’t seen it before, but if you’ve never watched Steve Carell’s audition tape for Anchorman, it’s good stuff. It’s on YouTube here.
Convos With My 2-year old released a bloopers video. Yay! It’s here.
Finally, for my Breaking Bad fans, it’s Breaking Bad: The Middle School Musical! If you haven’t already seen it, watch it below. Hell, even if you have already seen it, watch it again.
